Vicky's classes are the only reason I look forward to Monday mornings! In only a few months I feel like my core strength has improved. Vicky offers lots of options for people of different levels. Classes are flexible too with the option to attend in person or online.

ABOUT ME

Hi...I'm Vicky, mum of 2 boys, wife and a STOTT Pilates® and Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor.  Qualified to teach mat pilates, reformer, spring wall and barre as well as functional breathing practices.

​

I discovered Pilates myself after having my children. A stressed mum wanting to get moving again, pilates changed my life. Finding a form of exercise you can connect with is the key to enjoying and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Now I want to help give this opportunity of a lifestyle change to you.

​

With 20 years of dance training, many years working in marketing within the education sector, as well as 4 years working as a pilates instructor at a bespoke studio, I have built a range of experience that I bring to my teaching. My passion for 'Movement' lead me to start my own business in 2020 and I now run successful established classes and have my own home based pilates studio for private reformer and equipment sessions.

​

I truly believe that Pilates can have a positive impact on anyone's life for both physical and mental wellbeing....it is a method that not only challenges and builds strength, mobility and control but also encourages you to move more effectively in daily life. I use my passion and love for this method to help me continue to learn, grow and self develop.  I have a keen interest in 'pain management' and creating long term 'healthy habits'. I strive to educate and share knowledge, encouraging movement and establishing and trying out new healthy lifestyle changes to keep strong, well and feeling good as we all grow older and take on busy lifestyles with more ease mentally and physically.

More recently I have qualified as an Oxygen Advantage Functional Breathing Instructor. Having started using breathing patterns and exercises at home to help control stress and anxiety it has become a key tool in our family and I'm ready to help others understand the benefits. Classes

PILATES CLASSES

Pilates is a movement method that challenges and builds core strength, joint stability and spinal mobility as well as teaching you how to effectively move, improve posture and become aware of your body. So whether you suffer with back pain, want to challenge yourself alongside other fitness platforms or you want to destress and move more efficiently, pilates can benefit us all. 

 

My aim during classes is to not just teach you a range of exercises that you can follow along with, but to help you understand what we are doing and why, emphasising technique and providing suitable modifications for each individual based your body and ability. I take the time to learn about how I can help and guide each of my clients to achieve their own personal goals. Classes are kept small and personable. We often use small equipment including the resistance band and mini stability ball.

If you are looking for a more tailored approach or would like to work with an injury, condition or focus on a specific goal, I offer private pilates sessions using the pilates reformer including the cardio tramp, spring wall, and mat work from my Wickford based Home Studio. 

This bespoke way of working allows you to work at your own pace, at a time that suits you and can be tailored to your individual needs. Whether you are looking for post rehab strengthening work following an injury, athletic conditioning to compliment other training or anything in between I have a variety of equipment, skills and knowledge to help you achieve your goals.

Private sessions are a partnership between myself and my client, we will work together to create a programme that's both beneficial and enjoyable.
